Cowboy for a Day
You will arrive at Sandy Valley Ranch in the morning to be greeted by our welcoming staff.
You will then have a little time to mosey around the ranch meeting staff and saying hello to all our friendly animals, which include, our wonderful miniature horse, ‘Rockstar’, chickens, pigs, goats and our female turkey, we call her Giblette!!
After viewing our orientation video and getting a few pointers from our staff you will be taken down to ‘mount up’ before setting off on a wonderful morning ride through the amazing Mojave desert. After your ride you will have a chance to wash up before enjoying a light lunch.
In the afternoon, get ready for a cattle drive through the desert (be sure not to lose any!). On returning, if you are not too tired, you can take part in some ‘cowboy games’ having a go on our bucking bronc, or maybe throwing some axes.
You will then have a little time to relax on our cowboy porch before going on a beautiful sunset trail ride, on returning to the ranch you will be given the opportunity to take part in some cattle penning in our arena, chasing cattle around, trying to get them all in the pen in the centre of the arena. A popular ranch event that is great fun.
Return to the our authentic ranch house to enjoy a well deserved cowboy dinner complete with desert.
After dinner you can enjoy sitting around our campfire, maybe toast some marshmallows and gaze up at our beautiful clear Nevada sky, full of thousands of twinkling stars.
